I want to give back to the design and blogging community. I have two very time intensive projects in mind, and would really like a sense of the level of interest.
WordPress Skeleton Themes
When I started using WordPress the only skeleton theme I could find was SandBox, and it was unwieldy. Essentially skeleton themes are WordPress themes stripped of colors, fonts, and images but contain the html and CSS that set up the layout. So essentially for a fixed width theme centered on the page with a right hand sidebar, and a footer sidebar it’d be possible to get a theme that sets that up, and the designer only has to manage the stylesheet colors, width/height, images and fonts. Ideally, I’d take the time to annotate the stylesheet, and to make a comprehensive readme file.
I’d like to contribute to making the whole process of designing for WordPress easier.

Site Reviews
I used to love reading and writing site reviews back in the day, however back then I was quick to get snarky. Age has hopefully made me older and wiser.
I’d like to have categories that people being reviewed can select, and not be so much into scoring pages but providing useful feedback.
Potential categories would be: Theme Creativity, Code Durability, Search Engine Friendliness, Interactivity, Theme Functionality, and Readability.
Code durability would include more than validating code, it would also check to see how the layout performs on different browsers, window sizes, and will check for anything that breaks. Search engine friendliness would check on how likely it is for articles to be picked up and show up in results for search engines.
I’d review all or one category based on what the review requester selected.

Tutorials
I want to keep writing tutorials and eventually want to give them a more prominent place on this site. However, have tutorials you’ve seen so far been helpful? Are there particular topics you would like me to cover?
Everything you mentioned sounds awesome. My favorite, though, is the WordPress skeleton theme. I myself like coding and it would be interesting and helpful if you dabble in theme making. I guess that goes in the tutorial.
Good luck on these projects! Looking forward to what you come up with.
